Your voice matters: Join our clinic walk-through
We are inviting adults (aged 18 and up) to participate in a guided clinic walk-through and small-group discussion at our Primary Care Centre.
This walk-through is focused on improving our physical spaces — not evaluating individual staff or healthcare services.
We want to understand what:
Looks and feels welcoming and easy to use
Feels confusing or uncomfortable
Could be better for people with different backgrounds and life experiences
During the walk-through, participants will move through the clinic together with our organizers. We will pause in different areas, such as the waiting room, exam rooms, and around signage, and invite you to share your thoughts in a small-group discussion.
You’ll be asked to look at the spaces from different views, including:
Accessibility (moving around the space, signage, lighting, noise, and other needs)
Inclusion (feeling respected and represented)
Cultural safety (feeling safe and valued in your identity and culture)
Your overall experience in our space
We welcome adults of all races, cultures, languages, gender identities, abilities, and life experiences. You do not need to be a patient of the Primary Care Centre to take part.
Participation is completely voluntary. You can share as much or as little as you like, skip questions, or stop at any time. Your feedback will be kept private. We will share common themes only, and no names will be used.
Each session is about two hours. Participants will receive a $50 gift card of their choice from EverythingCard as a thank-you for their time. Accessibility supports are available.

Nutrition resources for managing health conditions
Research shows that the food we eat has a significant impact on the prevention and management of long-term, chronic health conditions.
More than half of Canadians over the age of 20 live with chronic diseases, such as diabetes, heart disease, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s disease, and more. Working with a dietitian or nutritionist can help manage symptoms and improve your quality of life.
Nutrition support could look like:
Help with managing cholesterol levels that can play a role in heart-related conditions
Support with developing an anti-inflammatory diet to help with multiple conditions, including PCOS
Advice for managing blood sugar spikes and insulin resistance, which can help with a variety of conditions, including diabetes
And much more!
If you’re looking for help managing a chronic condition through diet or seeking general nutrition support, several resources are available to you.
Free resources include:
The Alberta Healthy Living Program offers nutrition workshops, programs, and support to help with chronic disease management. Virtual and in-person programs are available in several languages. You can call 1.844.527.1160 to register.
The Health Link Dietitian Service can offer nutrition advice for adults and children, referrals to other nutrition programs, and more. You can request a call from this service online or call 811.
Our PCN has a Dietitian Program that accepts referrals from family doctors in our membership. Speak to your family doctor to learn more about the referral options available to you.
International Women's Day: Highlighting the Women's Centre of Calgary
Sunday, March 8, marked International Women's Day — an excellent time to recognize the people and organizations that help empower women in our community and provide them with support in their time of need.
This month,we’re highlighting the work of the Women’s Centre of Calgary — a registered charity that has been a trusted and safe space for women and girls for nearly 30 years. The centre helps women access basic needs, legal and financial aid, referrals to other low-cost supports, and resources.
In 2025, the centre served close to 12,000 women and girlsthrough free, easy-to-access programs. Survey results show that these programs helped participants gain confidence when making decisions and developing valuable skills.
If you or someone you know would benefit from the support of the centre, they are here to help.
Getting support:
The centre offers phone support and drop-in hours from Monday to Friday. Contact information and hours of operation are available on the Contact Us web page.
You can connect with the centre directly through email to register for programs and workshops:
